Randwick Girls has a selective stream to support gifted and talented
learners.
Students need to apply to be part of this class. The criteria used to
choose students for the class are:
- Results in the UNSW Examinations Centre's "Placement Test".
This will take place at Randwick Girls High School in the multipurpose
centre, in the September of the year prior to commencing Year 7.
- Results in the Basic Skills Tests conducted in primary schools
in year 5. Parents will need to provide Randwick Girls High School
with copies of their daughter's reports if available.
- Recommendations by primary school year 6 teachers concerning the
current levels of achievements of the students concerned.
Please note: Students who sit for the selective high school tests
and are successful at gaining entry to such a school or are place
on the waiting list will gain automatic entry to the class.
