Randwick Girls’ High has a growing music program. The ensembles combine with musicians from Randwick Boys’ High and rehearse in the shared facility between the two schools. The ensembles are:

•Concert Band
•Jazz Band
•String Ensembles
•Training Band – new in 2009, for our beginner musicians.

All ensembles rehearse before school from 8am.

Instrumental tutors also work with our students before and after school.

Our musicians are in high demand for performances both at school and in the community. Highlights for 2008 include performances at the Prince of Wales Hospital Antique Fair, the opening of a youth centre in Kingsford and in the senate chamber of NSW Parliament for a Multicultural Forum, run by the United Nations Council. In 2007, the Jazz Band performed on the red carpet for the premiere of ‘The Simpsons Movie’ at Fox Studios.
